Sophomore Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, N.J.) of the women’s basketball team has been selected as QBSN’s Athlete of the Week for her stellar performance against Yale.

Guastella helped the lead the Bobcats to their fourth victory of the season by scoring 13 points against rival Yale. She took 10 shots during the game and made six of them, giving her a 60 percent field goal percentage on the evening.
She also grabbed a Bobcat best nine rebounds on the night, just one shy of giving Guastella her second double-double of the year.
Currently, Guastella has 39 points on the year, giving her a point-per-game average of 9.8. She also is averaging seven rebounds a game.
The Women’s basketball team will be back at it Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. The Bobcats are set to play the New Hampshire University Wildcats.
