Background:
- Quinnipiac enters the game 2-2 on the season, while Yale is 0-3-1 in 2012.
- The Bobcats suffered a tough overtime loss to Loyola (Md.) 2-1 their last time out.
- Yale lost to fellow Connecticut rival Fairfield this past Sunday 1-0.
- Yale owns the all-time series against the Quinnipiac 8-0-2, while Yale took the last match last year 3-2
Scouting the Bobcats:
- Philip Surprise has scored four goals in the past two games to lead QU on the year in goals and points. That includes a hat trick against Lafayette on September 2nd. With his nine points this season, Surprise is in a two-way tie for 11th place all-time at Quinnipiac with 50 points. He is also eighth all-time in goals scored with 21.
- William Daniels is second on the team with five points (two goals, one assist) on the year. Both of Daniels’s goals came in the first two games of the season for the Bobcats.
- Borja Angoita has started all four games in net for Quinnipiac. He holds a 2-2 record with .714 save percentage (15 saves) and a 1.49 goals against average (six goals allowed).
- Quinnipiac is 1-1 at home this year.
Scouting the Bulldogs:
- Yale has not scored in their first four games of the year. Their only tie came in a scoreless affair against Colgate Septemeber 7th.
- Peter Jacobson led the Bulldogs in goals (seven) and points (15) last year. He has yet to connect on his ten shots so far this year, which leads the team in that category.
- Senior keeper Bobby Thalman has started every game for the Bulldogs in the net this year. He rocks an impressive .808 save percentage (21 saves) along with a 1.18 goals against average (five goals against).
- Yale is 0-2 on the road this year.
