After day one of the ECAC Division I Championship the Quinnipiac women’s golf team is seated in eighth place after shooting a 330.
The Bobcats are four strokes back of Farleigh Dickinson and six strokes back of Siena College.
Atop the leader board for the Bobcats are freshman Jenn Whaley and senior Kayla Ketcheson who both shot a 79. Freshman Krissy Unger finished four strokes back with an 83, while fellow freshman Taylor Lambrou and sophomore Angelica Muscatelli both carded an 89.
Whaley and Ketcheson are tied with three other golfers for 13th place.
“The course is the toughest course that these golfers will see all year,” head coach John O’Connor said. “I’m not real happy with their results but extremely happy with their efforts. I look to move up in the standings tomorrow and lower rounds from all five golfers.”
Ketcheson shot five under her average, while Lambrou shot one under her season average.
Play will resume tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
