Background
- The Bobcats enter the weekend in fourth place of the Northeast Conference (3-1-1).
- Last time out they topped Bryant 2-0 and head coach Eric Da Costa picked up his 50th win.
- Mount St. Mary’s stand in last place of the NEC (1-5).
- On Friday they suffered a 4-1 loss to Central Connecticut State.
Scouting the Bobcats
- Playing on their home field should prove to be an advantage for the Bobcats as they are 2-0-1 against the Mountaineers at home.
- Senior Philip Suprise still leads in goals (6) and points (13), but hasn’t made any contributions in the past five games.
- Robbie McLarney (10) and William Daniels (9) follow up Suprise in second and third place for points and have played keys in several NEC wins.
- Borja Angoitia has started in net for every game and recorded two shutouts in five wins, including shutting down Bryant.
- A win against Mount St. Mary’s would place the Bobcats into a three-way tie with Monmouth and Central Connecticut State for second place.
Scouting the Mountaineers
- Mount St. Mary’s is stuck in a three-game losing streak after earning their lone NEC win against Bryant.
- Zoncher Dennis and Mark Plaisance lead the team with three goals and an assist apiece.
- The pressure of protecting the goal rests solely on the shoulders of Peter Steve who has a shutout on one of the two wins the Mountaineers have this season.
- A win would mean moving out of last place and tying Bryant for eighth place
