Quinnipiac senior, Will Cavallo (Londonderry, N.H.), has earned this week’s QBSN Athlete of the Week honors by leading the Bobcats men’s soccer team to their first Northeast Conference regular season title.
Cavallo led the way by scoring two goals in the top-seed-clinching victory versus Fairleigh Dickinson University. He scored the first and third goals in the 3-0 win to help Quinnipiac earn the number one seed and rights to host the Northeast Conference tournament.
The goals were his second and third tallies of the season and earned him NEC, College Sports Madness, and College Soccer News Player of The Week honors.
According to QuinnipiacBobcats.com, this marks the first time that any player has earned all three honors, and marks the second consecutive week that a Bobcat won the award.
On the season, Cavallo has tallied three goals along with two assists, placing him fourth on the team in points with eight.
Cavallo and the Bobcats will be back out on the pitch on Fri. Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. against Saint Francis University in game one of the battle for the conference title.
