Quinnipiac hosts Central Connecticut State today at 2 p.m. The Bobcats currently sit in a two-way tie for first place in the Northeast Conference standings (6-1-1). The weekend’s games are the Bobcats’ last two conference games of the year.
Scouting for the Bobcats
- The Bobcats (8-5-2, 6-1-1 NEC) are on a four-game winning streak after earning the win against Robert Morris on Sunday (3-1).
- If the Bobcats win the games against Central Connecticut Friday and Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, they are guaranteed first place and top seed in the NEC Tournament.
- After this weekend, the Bobcats will have their first playoff appearance since 2009
- Sophomore goalie Borja Angoitia was named NEC Player of the Week and will continue to start in net.
Scouting for the Blue Devils
- The Blue Devils (8-6-2, 6-1-1 NEC) are on a three-game winning streak after winning their last game against LIU Brooklyn (2-1).
- Senior Reece Wilson, who has eight goals and six assists on the year, leads Central Connecticut’s momentum. Both are team leading.
- The Blue Devils’ senior goalkeeper Anthony Occhialini sees a brunt of the action in net. He is credited for all eight of the team’s wins, including four shutouts.
