The Quinnipiac men’s basketball team is coming off a dominant 79-63 victory over the Monmouth Hawks. The Bobcats (10-13, 6-5 NEC) are hoping to avenge a tough 87-85 defeat against the Colonials that they suffered earlier this season in what may be the last time these teams face each other. As for the Colonials (17-8, 9-3 NEC), they are riding a three-game winning streak and are winners of nine of their last ten games. The team is coming off a nail-biting 83-79 overtime-victory against Wagner.
Keys for Quinnipiac:
The Bobcats have been doing a better job leading the charge in the games early on and owning the momentum throughout their games, something they did not do against Robert Morris.
Quinnipiac needs to grab more rebounds than the Colonials to create more offensive opportunities.
The team also has to cause more turnovers against Robert Morris and defend the three-point line since the Colonials were 11-for-19 against the Bobcats last time out from beyond the arc.
Keys for Robert Morris:
This is a huge game for the Colonials just as much as it is for the Bobcats because the Colonials are trying to keep pace with Bryant for the top seed in the Northeast Conference.
Lucky Jones, Russell Johnson, and Karvel Anderson need to continue to put up big points for the Colonials.
The Colonials have to put pressure on the Bobcats by defending their big men in the paint, as that is the source of many of Quinnipiac’s points, and attempt to shoot well around the perimeter.
