Softball catcher Jordan Paolucci has been named this week’s Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network Athlete of the Week.
On Saturday April 20, the Bobcats hosted a doubleheader against Farleigh Dickinson, which they split, losing the first game 7-1 and winning the second game in extra innings 4-0 thanks to Paolucci’s walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The grand slam was Paolucci’s NEC leading 11th home run of the year, and 40 runs-batted-in, which also leads the NEC. Paolucci, who now has 3 grand slams on the season, also had a hit in the first game, making her average currently .298.
The Bobcats travel to Bryant for a doubleheader on Saturday April 27 and then come home for a doubleheader on Sunday April 28 against Central Connecticut.
