The Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey team will go head to head with the Cornell Big Red for a conference matchup as they battle for first place in the ECAC. The game will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the High Point Solutions Arena.
The Bobcats look to get their third win in the ECAC and advance to 8-1-1 in the season. Cornell will try to maintain their undefeated season (3-0-0 ECAC, 5-0-0 overall).
Keys for Quinnipiac:
- Get shots on net. Cornell is most likely starting senior goaltender Lauren Slebodnick, who has allowed 11 goals in her last three games. Chelsea Laden allowed 10 in nine games.
- Take advantage of the power play. Cornell is ranked 11th in the conference against conference opponents. Expose them.
Keys for Cornell:
- Stop Kelly Babstock. She had four points against Colgate on Friday night and is Quinnipiac’s biggest offensive power.
- Get around Quinnipiac’s defensemen. They do not allow Laden to make more than 25 saves a night. Once you get around Quinnipiac defense, and put more shots on Laden, they may result in some goals.
