The Quinnipiac women’s basketball team will take on defending Atlantic-10 champion Saint Joseph’s. The Bobcats are coming of a 75-65 win over Missouri State, while the Hawks have started the season off at 5-1.
Keys for Quinnipiac:
- In their last win Brittany McQuain had 28 points and 12 rebounds. Quinnipiac should continue to throw the ball into McQuain in the post. If she can establish herself inside, she can then find shooters for open 3-pointer.
- Defensively the Bobcats have to make sure they are solid. Saint Joseph’s comes into the game averaging 75 points a game. Quinnipiac will have to make sure they keep Saint Joseph’s from getting into the lane and kicking it out to shooters.
Keys for Saint Joseph’s:
- Offensively the Hawks just have to continue what they have been doing. There are shooting the ball effectively at 45 percent this season. They must continue to run their offense and take good shots.
- Defensively they must find the Quinnipiac 3-point shooters. Pretty much everyone on Quinnipiac can shoot it from deep so they must close out and run Quinnipiac off the 3-point line. If Saint Joseph’s can make the Bobcats take contested 2-point shots they will be happy.
