Quinnipiac softball player Hannah Lindsley has been named this week’s QBSN Athlete of the Week after a terrific week both in the batter’s box and the pitcher’s circle.
Lindsley finished off her week with the first no-hitter in Quinnipiac softball’s Division I history in a 2-0 win over Manhattan on Monday afternoon. It was the completion of a game started back on March 29th, making the feat even more impressive. She hurled all seven innings, striking out two batters and striking just one.
Over a six game stretch at the dish dating back to the game against UConn on April 3rd, Lindsley batted .333 with two home runs, three doubles, six RBI and four runs scored. She smashed two home runs in game two of a doubleheader against Rider in a 12-1 win in five inning mercy rule win.
Lindsley and the Bobcats’ softball team (8-22, 4-4 MAAC) return to action Thursday with a game at Sacred Heart with the first pitch scheduled for 3 P.M.
