After practicing with the team yesterday for the first time since his injury, it was announced today that Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey forward, Sam Anas will be dressing for the team’s NCAA game tonight at 8 p.m. in Fargo, North Dakota.

This comes after Brad E. Schlossman, a college hockey writer for the Grand Forks Herald, reported on Twitter seeing Anas in a red no-contact jersey rotating with Alex Barron on the second line at practice yesterday.
Following the practice, Quinnipiac head coach Rand Pecknold declined to comment on injuries or the lineup for tomorrow’s game.
Anas was injured in the first period of game three of the ECAC quarterfinal series against Union on March 15, and did not participate in the ECAC semifinal game against Harvard in Lake Placid on March 20.
Earlier this week, Pecknold said it didn’t look good for Anas, who did not even bring his equipment to Lake Placid. “He’s not even close,” Pecknold said. “We’re going to proceed ahead without him, and we need to find a way.”
Anas is the Bobcats’ leading scorer this season, with 40 points, and has a team-leading 23 goals on the season as well.
The Bobcats will face off against the University of North Dakota at Scheels Arena for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 8 p.m.
