
Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey co-captain defenseman Danny Federico has signed with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, per John Buccigross of ESPN.
In 133 games with the Bobcats, Federico has put up three goals, and 34 assists, and has a career plus/minus of +48. In his four years at Quinnipiac he helped the team capture a Frozen Four victory, make an appearance in the National Championship, and make three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
Federico joins former teammate and co-captain Matthew Peca in the AHL, after Peca joined the Syracuse Crunch on April 1.
