Cashman, a former Quinnipiac player from 2003-07 concluded his second year as associate head coach following four years in other coaching roles with the team. The prolific scoring defenseman was behind the bench for both of the Bobcats Frozen Four runs in 2012-13 and 2014-15.

Filling in the vacancy is Joe Dumais, former Union associate head coach and Quinnipiac player from 2002-2006. Prior to his stint at Union, he was an assistant coach at UConn.
Dumais finished his first year as associate head coach with the Union Dutchmen after a four year stint as an assistant coach with the team.
He was on the coaching staff of the national champion 2012-13 Dutchmen, overseeing the team’s top-ranked power play and special teams.
Dumais joins Bill Riga as associate head coach and Rand Pecknold, who recently signed an extension to remain Quinnipiac’s head coach through 2021.
