Update: As of 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the Quinnipiac Bobcats coach landing page has no listing of any coaches remaining with the team.
Just after 5 p.m. assistant coach Eric Eaton tweeted, expressing gratitude for his time at Quinnipiac. Eaton, along with Moore, finished their tenth year with Quinnipiac this week. His profile still includes photos from the TD Bank Sports Center, and his bio still has him listed as the team’s coach.
Thx so much to everyone at QU for an amazing 10yrs. So proud of what we did, proud of all of our players, & humbled by all the support!

Quinnipiac athletics formally announced Tuesday that men’s basketball head coach Tom Moore has been fired following his team’s first round exit in the MAAC Tournament.
“After reviewing the last two seasons and talking with Coach Moore, I have decided that a change in leadership of the men’s basketball program is needed for it to move forward in meeting our goals,” Director of Athletics and Recreation Greg Amodio said in a statement.
“We are grateful to Tom Moore and his staff for their commitment to our program over the past 10 years. We appreciate all that he has done for the University in guiding his student-athletes’ performance on the court and in the classroom.”
Moore started with the Bobcats in 2007 after 13 years as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, and reached his peak of success after being named Northeastern Conference Coach of the Year in 2010, after his team took the NEC and made an appearance in the NIT.
