Quinnipiac is one of just four ECAC Hockey teams still standing, along with St. Lawrence, Clarkson and Colgate. Eight of the twelve ECAC Hockey programs – Cornell, Rensselaer, Harvard, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, Union and Princeton have already pulled the plugs on their 2020-21 seasons.
As things stand, Quinnipiac would open its season on December 18 against Bowling Green at the People’s United Center. Games against Holy Cross and AIC are also still scheduled, including the Bobcats’ rescheduled home opener.
Quinnipiac’s other three winter sports — women’s ice hockey and men’s and women’s basketball — are still expected to go on as planned. Women’s ice hockey opens its season on December 4, while both basketball programs tip off on November 25.
