Bobcat Breakdown: 09/28/2021

This week on Bobcat Breakdown Nick Antoniadis hosted alongside two hockey lovers, Clever Streich and Aiden Barrett.

This past week in Quinnipiac sports, the women’s ice hockey team created history. The Bobcats started off the 2021-22 season playing the University of Maine, Friday and Saturday. Netminder Corrine Shroder was the first ever female in NCAA history to receive a goal as a goalie. She was awarded credit for this goal as she was the last one to touch the puck as it made its way down the ice into the blackbears net. This was the first time a female has been awarded this at Quinnipiac as in 2013 netminder Michale Garteig also received a goal.

MAAC play began for women’s soccer but lost to Monmouth 1-2. The Bobcats were off to a fiery start to the season, but this loss won’t stop them as the MAAC season has just begun. On breakdown, we discuss men’s soccer and volleyball as well. Things are heating up for all Quinnipiac sports.
