Zachary Carter, Online Editor
Zach Carter is a third-year Journalism major and Spanish minor from Cranford, New Jersey, currently serving as one of the Online Editors for QBSN. Carter's passion for sports journalism stems from his love of growing up playing baseball, basketball, football and soccer. Carter is a die-hard New York Mets fan, and can also be seen on the diamond playing for the Quinnipiac Club Baseball team, serving as the team’s Secretary for the 2023-2024 academic year. Emily Sweeney, Chairwoman
Emily Sweeney is a 3+1 Journalism major with a triple minor in Sports Studies, Theater Studies, and Media Studies. She is from Long Island, New York, and is a big New York sports fan. Sweeney is also the first-ever QBSN Chairwoman. During her time in QBSN, Sweeney has done color commentary and play-by-play for many games, as well as writing game recaps, articles for the magazine, and multimedia. She is also a part of Q30 and has beat reported for field hockey and men’s and women’s lacrosse. Brianna Trachtenberg, Social Media Manager
Brianna Trachtenberg is a second-year Journalism student in the 3+1 Communications Program with a double minor in History and Public Relations. Trachtenberg is from Methuen, Massachusetts, and is a big Boston sports fan. During her first year in QBSN Trachtenberg did a lot of multimedia and writing for games, which included when she did multimedia at Fenway Park for when the Women’s Hockey team competed in Frozen Fenway. Trachtenberg will now serve as one of the Social Media Managers this year. She also is an Associate Producer for Sports Paws and the Vice President for AWSM. Clever Streich, Broadcast Manager
Clever Streich is a graduate Sports Journalism major in his fourth year of the 3+1 Communications program, having earned his bachelor’s in Media Studies in Spring 2023. Streich has had the opportunity to be on the call on some of QBSN’s biggest stages including the 2022 ECAC Hockey Championships in Lake Placid, New York, and the 2023 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Regional Finals in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Nick Boyd, Photography Manager
Nick Boyd is a 3+1, second-year Journalism major from Poughkeepsie, New York. This year, Boyd will be serving as the first QBSN Photography Manager, who is in charge of organizing and distributing the work of the organization's talented photographers. Boyd is a passionate sports fan and enjoys following, talking about, and playing sports. Boyd's favorite position at QBSN is photography, but he also enjoys commentating on games and writing for the magazine or website. Last year, Boyd got the opportunity to cover Quinnipiac in the MAAC Women's Lacrosse Playoffs at Fairfield University. Boyd is also a Beat Reporter for Q30 Sports and serves as one of the Associate Producers on Q30TV's Sports Paws. Boyd also co-runs independent podcast shows about the National Basketball League and Major League Baseball with fellow QBSN members Ben Rickevicius and Beckett Calkins. Jennifer Moglia
Jennifer Moglia (she/her/hers) is a 19-year-old sophomore media studies major and women and gender studies minor in the School of Communications 3+1 Program planning to get her master’s degree in sports journalism. She is from Mineola, New York, which is on Long Island, and grew up going to countless New York sports games (Let’s go Mets and Rangers!). Jen spent her first year at QBSN honing her craft as a multimedia producer and has since branched out into writing and color commentary. Her favorite parts of her first year with QBSN were covering The Battle of Whitney Avenue and traveling to Bridgeport and Lake Placid for the Connecticut Ice Tournament and ECAC Championships, respectively. She is passionate about women’s sports and gender equity and her favorite sport to cover is acrobatics and tumbling. Aside from sports-related things, Jen loves the color pink, going to concerts, watching Disney or Marvel movies, and hanging out with her cat. She is beyond happy to be a social media manager for the fall semester of the 2022 school year and can’t wait to work with the rest of the e-board to help bring QBSN’s accounts to the next level!
