Sophomore guard Rose Caverly has officially transferred from the University of Vermont and joined the Quinnipiac Bobcats women’s basketball team. She had started in eight games for the Catamounts this season and lead the team with 39.4 minutes per game.

Caverly averaged 11.1 points per game while shooting just over 39% from the 3-point line. Her offense will be a solid addition to the Bobcats for the 2020-21 season.

As a first-year student-athlete in 2018-19, Caverly was named to the America East All-Rookie Team, averaging 33.3 minutes per game and scoring 5.6 points per game. The Brick, New Jersey native announced her intention to transfer on December 21st through a Twitter post in which she thanked the University of Vermont community for their support during her playing career. Today, that transfer became official through the athletic department and she was added to the Bobcats roster.

Next season, Caverly will play alongside Shaq Edwards in what should be a solid backcourt duo for the Bobcats.
