The Quinnipiac women’s tennis team took on the Siena Saints on Saturday, winning by a final score of 5-2.

First up was the doubles matches for the two teams. The Bobcats didn’t fare well here as they lost two of three in the matches.

Quinnipiac’s Claire Kosecielski and Kamilla Nella lost their match 6-4 to Meagan Brown and Kylie Mullaney.

Siena’s Maanya Viswanath and Emma Boggaili won their doubles match against Dominique Vasile and Steph Yanosov, 6-2.

The final doubles match was hopeful for the Bobcats as Madison Williams and Payton Bradley brought one home with their 6-1 win against Siena’s Anastasia Koniaev and Petra Miszczak.

The first singles match was Quinnipiac’s Kosecielski who defeated Meagan Brown in both sets 6-2 to bring the first point home for the Bobcats.

The next match saw Nella defeat Mullaney 6-2 in the first set and 6-0 in the second.

Vasile continued the Bobcats’ hot singles form, grabbing a three-set victory over Miszczak.

The Bobcats weren’t done yet as two more Bobcats won their matches. Williams picked up her second victory of the day as she beat Viswanath 6-1, 6-2, while Yanosov beat Koniaev 6-2 in straight sets.

Siena salvaged a singles matchup between Quinnipiac’s Bradley and Siena’s Boggaili after Boggaili forced it to a three-set match. She won it in the third set, 6-1.

The Bobcats will look to extend their winning streak to three as they take on the Monmouth Hawks on Sunday.
