This week’s edition of Bobcat Breakdown was hosted by Mason Glod, who made his Q30 Sports Department debut. Mason was joined by analysts Rob Lyon, who made his first appearance as an analyst, and Aiden Barrett. The show began with the two debating everything Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey, from the team’s ECAC Hockey semifinal loss to Colgate, Olivia Mobley’s strong recent play, and a preview of Quinnipiac’s game against Syracuse in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday. The guys then shifted their debate briefly to the Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey team’s quarterfinal matchup against St. Lawrence this weekend.

Following a commercial break, the debate went over to Lender Court for some Quinnipiac basketball. Aiden and Rob talked about Kevin Marfo and Jacob Rigoni’s legacy for the men’s basketball team as well as Mackenzie Dewees’ play and if she has done enough to earn MAAC Player of the Year for the second straight year. The two then gave their predictions for both the men’s and women’s teams and how they will fare in Atlantic City in the MAAC Basketball Tournament. The debate then swung over to some spring sports and the Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team and if this is the year the team can finally make a run at the MAAC title. The show then wrapped up with the QBSN Game of the Week and final roars.
